LEADUS Showcases Advanced Vacuum Insulated Glass Solutions at CLP x HKSTP Sustainable Residential Living Conference 2026

Release time: 08 Sep,2026

HONG KONG, 20 August 2026 — HK Leadus Innovation Company Limited ("LEADUS"), a global pioneer in Vacuum Insulated Glass (VIG) technology and turnkey manufacturing solutions, participated in the Sustainable Residential Living Conference 2026, co-organised by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and CLP. Convening over 230 stakeholders across the property, government, construction, and technology sectors, the conference provided a collaborative platform to advance urban decarbonisation. LEADUS presented its next-generation thermal insulation solutions, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating the transition toward a net-zero built environment.

As cities push toward aggressive carbon neutrality targets, reducing operational energy consumption in buildings has become an industry imperative. Building envelopes—particularly windows and curtain walls—represent a critical focal point for thermal efficiency. The joint initiative by HKSTP and CLP brought together industry leaders and policy makers to explore practical, scalable pathways for sustainable development. Recognized for its cutting-edge material science, LEADUS was selected among top technology ventures to showcase its carbon-reducing VIG solutions.

During the exhibition, LEADUS presented its high-performance VIG technology, which delivers approximately four times better thermal insulation performance than conventional insulated glass. Featuring an ultra-thin and lightweight structure, LEADUS VIG is only one-third the thickness and half the weight of traditional double-pane units, significantly improving building energy efficiency without compromising structural aesthetics.

LEADUS highlighted its unique market standing as one of only five manufacturers worldwide with large-scale mass production capabilities for VIG. Furthermore, the company offers the world's only turnkey VIG manufacturing platform, seamlessly integrating production machinery, proprietary consumable materials, and automated process control systems into a single end-to-end platform.

The showcase highlighted several globally recognized reference projects:

  • Regent Hong Kong: Executed the world's largest single-piece VIG renovation project, recognized with the prestigious Hong Kong Green Building Award.
  • Grant-Deneau Building (USA): A landmark VIG curtain wall retrofit recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
  • Stadsgehoorzaal Kampen (Netherlands): A successful energy-efficiency upgrade of a historic heritage building using advanced VIG panels.
  • International Strategic Partnerships: Established strategic European collaboration with NSG Pilkington (UK) and provided automated VIG manufacturing technology adoption for YKK AP (Japan).

The event facilitated direct engagement between LEADUS executives, regional property developers, and green building consultants. "Building envelopes play a vital role in curbing operational emissions," stated a LEADUS spokesperson. "We are honored to join forces with HKSTP and CLP to demonstrate how mass-producible, high-performance VIG can deliver immediate, measurable energy savings for both retrofits and new developments. LEADUS remains committed to advancing technology innovation and expanding our global partnerships to forge a sustainable, net-zero future."
