Leadus Technology Invited to Attend Global GPD Glass International Forum
Glass Performance Days (GPD) is one of the most influential forums in the global glass industry, aiming to promote the development of the global glass industry through the exchange of innovative ideas and designs. Established in 1992, its permanent venue is Tampere, Finland. This year's theme, "Way to Grow," focuses on exploring new technologies and trends for the glass industry under the carbon-neutral background, and how to lead the industry out of the shadows and back on track.
Vacuum glass, as the most representative new technology, received significant attention at the forum. During the opening ceremony keynote speech, Mr. Christoph Timm, Executive Director of SOM, a top architectural design firm in New York, highlighted vacuum glass technology twice, listing it as a dream technology for architects.
During the exhibition, Japan's AGC, a Fortune 500 company, showcased its FINEO vacuum glass produced by its European division. In the unit report session, five presentations related to vacuum glass covered testing, performance, applications, and more. Dr. Du Zheng, Chief Technology Officer of Leadus Technology, presented a report titled "Vacuum Insulating Glazing-be Manufactured in Vacuum," introducing Leadus's independently developed, world-first third-generation large-scale manufacturing technology for vacuum glass.
This technology enables continuous rapid sealing in a high vacuum environment, capable of producing a new generation of fully tempered, metal-edged vacuum glass without evacuation holes. The production time has been reduced from several hours in traditional processes to under 20 minutes. Compared to traditional methods, it boasts significantly higher production efficiency, lower energy consumption, full tempering, stable structure, and environmentally friendly welding materials (harmless metal alloy sealing with zero pollution and extremely low emissions). It is one of the few advanced technologies in the domestic glass field with independent intellectual property rights.
